Mona Mills, life-long professional artist
Mona Mills is a professional creative artist well known for her many public murals and sculptures.
Mills is also a writer/poet and an illustrator who specializes in the figure in historical settings. As a creative oil painter, she has exhibited in numerous one-artist shows.
Mills states, as many other serious artists do, that she knew nothing about the expression of creativity when she emerged from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. All she knew was that she loved art and the figure and that she had developed some technical skills. She insists that life-long looking, learning, thinking, and doing, combined with tremendous persistence have produced her body of public and personal visionary works.
